Standardized Safety Language Template

Purpose

This template provides the Hardened Safety Language required for all 75 sessions of the WRH Master Curriculum. This language is non-negotiable and must be used to maintain federal compliance and participant safety.

1.0 The Universal Opening (The Anchor)

To be used at the start of every session.

“We are entering a high-activation space. You are the operator of your own machine. At any point, you may use the Yellow Light (pause/slow down) or Red Light (stop/exit). We will begin with the Regulation Grounding Protocol (RGP). Feet flat, eyes open or closed, breathe in for four… hold… out for six.”

2.0 The Non-Clinical Disclaimer

To be used when participants share deep personal trauma.

“I hear you, and I see the system logic in that response. To keep this space safe and compliant, we are focusing on the mechanical wiring of the response, not the clinical processing of the event. If you feel you are drifting into a ‘Red Light’ zone, let’s return to the RGP together.”

3.0 The Crisis Warm-Handoff

To be used if a participant indicates acute distress or risk of self-harm.

“The system is showing high activation right now. My role is to provide the curriculum logic; the clinical safety team is here to provide the support. We are going to transition to the Safety Planning Intervention (SPI) protocol now. [Insert name of clinical lead] will take over from here. You are safe, and the system is working.”

4.0 The Universal Closing (The Shift)

To be used at the end of every session.

“The session is closing, but the machine is still running. Your tool for the next 24 hours is [Insert Session Tool]. Remember: You are not the broken parts; you are the leader of the team. Yellow or red anytime. You’re free.”
